You can keep your teeth clean and healthy by regular brushing and flossing however brushing alone is not enough to remove those embedded stains to give you a perfectly white smile. Stains caused by red wine, coffee, food and smoking can be removed by professional whitening. Over the years we have tried and tested almost every teeth whitening system available on the market, with some giving unpredictable results. We are now convinced that we are using the most effective and controlled tooth whitening system, Enlighten.

This treatment is split into two sessions: the first session is where your we take an impression of your teeth – using a wax mould which is then used to create a set of custom made bleaching trays.

These trays are designed to fit over your teeth and contain a concentrate of carbamide peroxide gel. Once the bleaching trays are ready you take these trays home with you and wear them over your teeth every night for the next 14 days. These trays must be worn with a whitening gel.

On day 15, you return to the practice where we will carry out the deep bleaching session.Dr. Dickerson will use a stronger type of bleaching agent – hydrogen peroxide which gives instant results. This treatment can result in your teeth being at least 15 shades lighter and the smile you have always wanted!
